Pickerel-Pearson Wolf River RidersFebruary 13, 2010  9:00 amDirector’s Meeting Wolf’s Den, Hwy A & TT Trail Maps

A lot of complaints were heard about the trail maps.  Parish Highlands, White Lake and our Wolf River Riders Club are going to re-do the county map  correct mistakes and make it legible. 

·         The cost ($3500) will be covered by the sale of the county maps during 2009. 

·         The advertisers will be the same as they were in 2009, no additional charge to them

·         Maps will be ready the beginning of the season. 

·         Specific club areas will be given a pale shaded color

·         Maps will be sold for $2.00

·         Future considerations would be to include GPS coordinates and intersection numbers on maps and trails. 

Parish Highland Club joined our club; it was motioned, seconded and passed to join their club.  Jan wrote out a check for $50.00

St. Patrick’s Day Parade (March 13) 

·         Theme will be “Salute to the Our Service Men & Women”

·         Will use Hummer’s trailer and LUV to pull it

·         Uniformed (past & current service members) who are  club members or friends of members will ride on the trailer

·         Jan will purchase and bag candy for children on parade route

·          Hummer the leprechaun  will walk the parade route

·         Pat will coordinate signs and float decorations

·         Connie & Harlan Fink will carry the banner

·         Anyone who would like to be a participant in the parade: You are asked to:

o   Call Pat (715-484-3634) or Jack (715-484-2621)

o   Be at Wolf’s Den to help decorate  at 9:00 am day of parade

o   Drive to Pickerel, (Parking is available in Laundromat; storage shed, or church parking lots.  As you are part of the parade, you will be allowed to unload your ATV’s and drive them to the parade starting point; which is the Snowmobile club garage. 

o   All participants are asked to promote safety, wearing helmets, if you’re a Trail Patrol volunteer you are asked to wear the Trail Patrol shirt. 

Spring Clean –up (May 15)

·         Will begin immediately after the meeting.

·         Areas to be cleaned are City Hwy A from Wolf Den to Trail head.  And the part we use on City Hwy T

·         We will get bags from the township

·         Specific details will be decided at the April meeting

ATV Safety Classes (May 29 -30)

·         8 am to noon both days

·         Will again use the Snowmobile Club barn

·         Will take up to 40 participants 

·         Registration will be $10.00 per person

·         Pat will inquire about getting the 250 cc machines again, Jerry will secure additional needed supplies

·         Instructors/helpers will be:  Connie & Harlan Fink, Pat & Harlan Girtz, Jack Andraschko, Jerry & Sherri Mijal, Dan & Mary Ann Wierschke

·         More details and volunteers added at the next club meeting

·         Get participant registrations to Pat Girtz, 715-484-3634

Five year Club Anniversary (September 18)

Some of the ideas brought up were:

·         Invite Parish Highlands and White Lake clubs to join us in a club ride

·         Have  raffles, games and food

·         Will be held at Wolf’s Den

·         Come to regular ATV meetings with your ideas.  We want to make this a great event, and need lots of help with planning.
